National Bank of Commerce makes donation to KIDS PLUS Youth Leadership Program

 National Bank of Commerce makes another donation to KIDS PLUS Youth Leadership Program.

Tom Renier, President of the Northland Foundation, accepts a $1,000 donation from National Bank of Commerce for the foundation’s KIDS PLUS Youth Leadership Program. Presenting the check were Bruce Webb, President of National Bank of Commerce’s Minnesota Banks, and Bill Arezzo, Senior Vice President and Private Banking Manager.

Since 2002 National Bank of Commerce has contributed more than $11,000 to the KIDS PLUS Program in support of the development of young leaders and other youth-centered initiatives. Since 1998, more than 900 young people and 300 adult mentors have participated in Youth Leadership Academies throughout the Northland.

The overall goal of KIDS PLUS, launched by the Northland Foundation in 1990, is to improve the well-being of children and youth in northeastern Minnesota. KIDS PLUS focus areas are: technical assistance and support to communities; youth leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropy; convening and training; and early childhood development. With six local branches, National Bank of Commerce is the area’s largest, locally-owned bank with headquarters in Superior, Wisconsin. Additional bank locations include Duluth and Hermantown, Minnesota, a midtown Superior bank, and one each in Poplar and Solon Springs.
