Ambassadors
BIG SCISSORS AND A LOT OF RIBBON!
You’ve seen them dressed in their black blazers cutting ribbons
with their oversized scissors or welcoming convention and reunion
attendees or climbing the gangplank onto the first ship of the season
or waving to the crowds from their parade float or working the registration
table at Business After Five and the Chamber annual dinner or offering
you the opportunity to “win big” at the Chamber Play Day or . .
. the list goes on and on.
Who are these people? Well, they are the Chamber Ambassadors--A
team of community-spirited individuals who are outgoing, dedicated
Chamber members or member employees. In 2004, the Ambassadors represented
the Chamber at 58 events. This “goodwill arm” of the Chamber would
not be able to volunteer so much time and energy without the generous
support of their employers.
As part of their community involvement, each year the Ambassadors
sponsor a residential holiday lighting contest in the City and Village
of Superior and donate $5 to a local charity for each entrant in
the contest.
The Ambassadors meet monthly on the second Wednesday of each
month at 7:15 AM.
If you would like to join this high-energy group, please contact
Jan O’Brien at 394-7716 or
