SUMMARY:Racism in Real Estate Course
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of Kim Wolff\, Chair of the Fair Housing Task Force\, a Committee of the Lake Superior\n\nArea REALTORS \, Inc. (LSAR)\, we would like to invite you to a Racism in Real Estate course\n\non Wednesday\, March 10 from 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nThe current climate of social unrest has shone a light on the impact structural racism continues\n\nto have throughout our country. As an industry\, REALTORS are determined to be at the\n\nforefront of creating open dialogue surrounding racism\, in particular as it relates to the real\n\nestate industry. LSAR formed a Fair Housing Task Force in 2020 to explore local efforts where\n\nwe can contribute to education\, create conversation and learn from our community on this\n\nimportant matter as well increasing diversity\, equality and inclusion in our industry.\n\n\n\nTo further this goal\, LSAR has partnered with Rethos\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to sponsor the\n\n"Racism in Real Estate" course. This course "explores structural racism and the racial wealth\n\ngap as it applies to housing." Given the importance of this topic\, the participation of municipal\n\nleaders and officials along with our members would significantly benefit our ongoing\n\nconversation and impact of this education by bringing diverse perspectives to our discussion\n\non how racism in real estate occurs.\n\n\n\nThe course will be held via Zoom and space is limited. We anticipate this course reaching\n\ncapacity and have reserved three seats for your organization. Any reserved but unfilled seats\n\nwill be released on Sunday\, February 7. Registration can be completed by following this link:\n\nhttps://www.rethos.org/events/racism-in-real-estate-duluth-2-ce-credits If you have any\n\nquestions\, please feel reach out to sara@LSARealtors.com or 218.728.5676. We look\n\nforward to our community's participation so that we move forward together in a way that\n\npositively impacts our community and the real estate industry.
