    Douglas County is seeking candidates to fill one Child Support Investigator position. The role of a Child Support Investigator is to locate absent parents; establish paternity of non-marital children; collect birth expenses owed to the State of Wisconsin; establish, modify and enforce child support and medical support orders and collect child support arrears; to ensure that children and parents receive the financial and medical support to which they are legally entitled. Minimum Qualifications High-school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on paralegal, criminal justice, public or business administration, communications, or other related human services field preferred. Relevant experience as a child support worker, collections officer, eligibility worker in a human services agency, legal system, collection work outside the public sector, and/or other experience in work related to the child support field may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Full-time; non-exempt; wage based on 2022 scale, $20.19-$23.07 per-hour.
