    Job Description
    The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for using a consultative approach to align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The person in this role will develop partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the goals of the organization Core Responsibilities: - Act as a main point of contact between HR and designated business units. - Provide day-to-day consultation to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, and organizational design. - Provide input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning. - Ability to influence business decisions that impact people. - Coach and counsel managers and employees on employee performance issues, communications, interpersonal skill development and assist in the resolution of work-related problems to maintain a productive work environment. - Coach managers on performance management, including plans for high-potential employees as well as underperforming employees. - Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations - Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialist to ensure business unit talent needs are met - Coordinate and manage projects according to the HR strategic plan. - Provide customer service to all AMSOIL employees and job candidates Requirements include: - Bachelor’s degree required; with a human resources emphasis preferred - 5 or more years of direct experience in human resource work or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job - Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, organizational development, performance management, employment law and talent acquisition - Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues - Solid knowledge of employment laws affecting all areas of human resources - Experience in developing creative ideas for recruiting and sourcing candidates for a variety of roles at different levels - Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities - Excellent problem solving and critical-thinking skills - Ability to communicate effectively, courteously and professionally to a variety of audiences, both in writing and verbally - Proactive and goal-oriented - Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, - PowerPoint and like programs - Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail - Act with the highest level of confidentiality and ethical conduct - Highly motivated and self-directed Preferred: - SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR certification - Experience working with affirmative action
