This position is the assistant to the Team Leader and includes working with adults with disabilities in a goal-orientated activity program up to 29 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting with implementing service plans and program goals, planning and assisting with adaptive activities, including community opportunities and behavioral supports, providing assistance with personal cares, and “hands-on” activity participation. This includes record and report keeping. Ideal candidates display empathy and understanding for the direct support needs of the individuals we serve. Qualified candidates should have an Associate degree in a related field or two years of equivalent experience, maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently. The Challenge Center provides all training needed, and we pay you while you train. Wages increase upon completion of training, weekend assignments, and accumulated time within our field.
