    MEDIA ADVISORY - TODAY:
APEX Coordinated Donation of Critical Work Attire to Keep Students Well Equipped
    Friday, December 15, 2017 - 2:15 PM

    4708 Carlson Road
    Hermantown, MN 55811
The Area Partnership for Economic Expansion (APEX) coordinated with several APEX investor-members recently to donate much-needed cold weather work gear to ISD 709’s Construction Technology program. High school students in this program have been working on a home construction project since the start of the school year. As the weather turned colder, weather appropriate work attire became necessary, so the district reached out to APEX for help.
APEX investor-members in construction industries were more than happy to get involved. Together, The Boldt Company, APi Group, Inc., United Piping, Inc., The Jamar Company and Northland Constructors donated the following items:
    • 14 Cold Weather Jackets
    • 14 Cold Weather Bibs
    • 36 Cold Weather Gloves
    • 24 Safety Glasses
    • 12 Cold Weather Hats
These items will ensure that students are well equipped to work regardless of the weather and will be available to students for years to come.
All media is encouraged to come.

There will not be a sound system at the donation event - please plan accordingly.

On street parking will be available.
