    October 20, 2021
In an effort to better maintain the Safe-Routes-to-School and improve neighborhood connectivity, the City of Superior will begin a new program this winter to aid in clearing snow from sidewalks. This route will be limited to specific streets, and specific sides of streets, which are connected to the Safe-Routes-to-School and will only be cleared when there is more than 2 inches of snowfall.

You can follow this link to view the route: https://tinyurl.com/SidewalkSnowRemovalRoute

By zooming in on the map you can identify which side of the street will be cleared by the city as
    well.

The City’s webpage has also been updated to reflect this new program and can be viewed here:
    https://www.ci.superior.wi.us/233/Street-Division

Residents who live along this route will be receiving a postcard in the mail regarding the new program. In preparation for the snow clearing, City crews will be pruning trees and shrubs along the route to ensure sufficient plow vehicle clearance. If you live along this route and desire to help support these efforts and trim your own sidewalk clearance, we are looking to ensure at least 8 feet of vertical above the sidewalks and a minimum corridor width of 6 feet.

If you have questions regarding this change, please call (715) 395-7270.
