The Duluth International Airport is proud to announce a new partnership with carrier American Airlines to bring daily direct service to and from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Tickets go on sale January 28, 2019, with service beginning on May 23, 2019. Visit duluthairport.com for more information.

“We’re thrilled to bring American Airlines to the Duluth International Airport,” said Tom Werner, Executive Director for the Duluth International Airport. “They have over 90 years of experience in aviation and a reputation for excellent customer service. Duluth now has the largest airlines in the world serving this region and offering connections to more destinations than ever before.”

American Airlines will operate four daily flights on the route, with two originating from Duluth and two from O’Hare. Flights will utilize the ER4 aircraft, designed for short- haul domestic segments and featuring fifty seats in a 1-2 layout that receives positive passenger feedback for both comfort and space.

“Each new carrier or route that joins the offerings at the Duluth International Airport has a significant impact on our region,” said Werner. “It means more competition between carriers, which in turn means more options and lower fares for our customers. It’s more important than ever to fly local in order to preserve air service options for many years to come.”
