  • Leadership Superior/Douglas County Program announces graduates of class of 2017

    The Leadership Superior/Douglas County Program extends congratulations to the 25 graduates of its 2017 class.
     
    Graduates are: Kelly Burger (CASDA), Rob Downs III (LHB, Inc.), Anna Fitzsimmons (ZMC Hotels Best Western Bridgeview), Dean Fries (National Bank of Commerce), Helena Frost (Douglas County), Kascie Gondik (Morgan Stanley), Harper Green (Superior Water, Light & Power), James Lawson (Enbridge), Erika Leif (Douglas County), Ruth Ludwig (City Council), Keith Kern (City Council, Jimmy’s Saloon), Kaci Lundgren (Douglas County), Megan Meyer (UW-Superior), Katie Paine (CCS-Volunteer Services), Camila Ramos (City of Superior), Robin Rosenbaum (JMR Financial Group), Rebecca Severson (Douglas County), Kayti Stolp (WITC-Superior), Rena Verdoljak (ALLETE, Inc.), Taylor Walkky (UW-Superior), Erin Whight (Essentia Health), Chad Trebilcock (Minnesota Power), Benjamin Wright (Challenge Center), Kelly Wiisanen (Superior Public Library), Bob Zimmerman (Superior Fire Department).
     
    Since the program began in 1991, the Leadership Superior/Douglas County Program has helped over 700 emerging and existing leaders broaden their knowledge of their communities, build networks among other leaders and develop skills needed to help their communities by taking part in panel discussions, touring the region and working in small groups on special projects. The group explores issues such as education, health and human services, business and economic development, leadership styles, the environment and goal setting.
     
    The program is coordinated by Tracy Henegar and is co-sponsored by the UW-Superior Center for Continuing Education/Extension, Chamber of Commerce, the City of Superior, Douglas County and the Superior/Douglas County Development Association.
     
    Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017-18 Leadership Superior/Douglas County Program, which starts in August.
