My 9 Sports Now Available on DirecTv 

Duluth, MN, July 26, 2018:  My 9 Sports is proud to announce DirecTv subscribers will be able to watch UMD athletics' telecasts during the 2018-2019 season.  Station Manager David Jensch says, "The addition of My 9 Sports to DirecTv expands viewership of over 60 college and high school games to more viewers in outlying areas and that is a wonderful development for highly local programming."  In addition to local sports, My 9 provides quality off-network programs from My Network TV and 22-hours each day of popular programming from the Heroes and Icons Network.  

UMD Assistant Athletic Director Brian Nystrom says, "We are looking forward to the expanded broadcast coverage of UMD Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Football, and Women's Volleyball for Bulldog Country.  The Bulldogs are proud to partner with My9 Sports and their commitment to providing high quality coverage of UMD Athletics."  

In addition to the DirecTV announcement, My 9 will also upgrade its over-the-air signal to HD this season.  Beginning with the fall season, all sporting events, including the national championship UMD Bulldog’s men’s hockey games, will be broadcast in true HD.  Station Manager David Jensch adds, "This upgrade is part of a continuing investment in local programming by market leader KBJR 6 and a sign that My 9 Sports is now a serious competitor in regional sports.” 

For the Bulldogs' 2018-2019 season, My 9 Sports will telecast 21 men's hockey games, 5 women's hockey games, 6 football games, 2 volleyball games, and 2 basketball games. 

My 9 Sports can be found on Broadcast Ch. 6.3, Charter Cable Ch. 9, Dish Network Ch. 9, DirecTv Ch. 9, and Paul Bunyan Ch. 19.
