Bentleyville started in 2001 at the home of a guy who really liked Christmas lights. In the spirit of the backyard display of Nathan Bentley, A sweet Event and Bentleyville are excited to once again host the Christmas Lighting Challenge. This year they've partnered with the Superior-Douglas County Chamber Ambassadors and the Superior Business Improvement District to bring the challenge to Superior! Families and business owners in the northland can register their homes or businesses online. Once registered, their address will be listed on an official Lighting Challenge map with a chance to win great prizes.

Families can then tour the lighting displays and vote for their favorites online. Prizes will be awarded December 22nd for the categories of: “Best Home” and “Best Business” in each city, as well as “Best Home” overall and “Grand Master”. “Best City” will also be a voting category, with no official prize being rewarded but bragging rights.

We are excited to be the official lighting competition for the featured cities this year. This will allow each city to have their own Lighting Challenge while being apart of a region wide competition. The featured cities are : Duluth, Superior, Two Harbors, Cloquet
