  • UW-Superior Alumni Experts to Host Forum on Creative Life in the North

    The University of Wisconsin-Superior invites the public to a free Alumni Forum on Creative Life in the North on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Erlenbach Lecture Hall. At the forum, a panel of five UW-Superior alumni will discuss their experiences in creative careers in our region, as well as the past, current, and future impacts of the university.
     
    Members of the panel will be Anthony Bukoski, class of 1970, author and professor emeritus; Andrew Kirov, class of 2013, journalist and television host; Brian Matuszak, class of 1999, theatre founder and director; Natalie Salminen Rude, class of 2003, artist and owner of Studio Haiku; and Kailyn Spencer, class of 2018, musician and teacher. The moderator will be Anne Dugan of the Department of Visual Arts.
     
    Prior to the forum, the opening of visual artist Susanna Gaunt’s “Reconfigure” exhibit will take place in the Kruk Gallery of Holden Fine Arts Center from 5 to 7 p.m.
     
    The event is the second of several Alumni Forums during the university’s 125th Anniversary celebration, and is sponsored by the UW-Superior Alumni Association. Co-sponsors are the Departments of Communicating Arts, Music, Visual Arts, and Writing and Library Science. Admission to the forum is free and refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the UW-Superior Foundation.
