UW-Superior Jazz Band hosts annual Valentine’s Swing Dance
The University of Wisconsin-Superior Jazz Band be playing plenty of sweet notes for its annual Valentine’s Swing Dance on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room.
The evening will include music from the classic era of big band with songs from Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie and Woody Herman. Included with the price of admission, Keith Miernicki of Twin Ports Dance will offer swing dance lessons between sets.
Having occurred for more than 10 years, the event has become a Valentine’s tradition in the Twin Ports. The dance has recently expand to all three sections of the Yellowjacket Union Great Room to better accommodate the growing attendance.
