UW-Superior to hold Student Involvement Awards Ceremony
The University of Wisconsin-Superior will celebrate the achievements of student leaders, student organizations, and campus staff from throughout the academic year on Thursday, May 3, at 5 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room.
“We have been holding this award program for the past four years,” said Samantha Wells, a senior biology major and co-organizer of the event. “We have consolidated and made them bigger each year.”
Awards to be presented include Outstanding Student Leader, Outstanding Emerging Leader, Evolving Student Organization, Advisor of the Year, Community Service Award, Inclusive Excellence, and Program of the Year. The Gender Equity Program will present awards for Breaking the Silence, Outstanding Ally, and Faculty/Staff Advocacy.
Winners of the Dean of Students and veteran scholarships will also be celebrated.
The Yellowjacket Union is located at 1605 Catlin Avenue in Superior.
