The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host an evening of free family fun with the sixth annual Seussville Family Fun Night on Thursday, March 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Jim Dan Hill Library.
“We wanted to host a family friendly event on campus that engaged the community with a Dr. Seuss theme,” said Monte Stewart, Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center Coordinator. “Dr. Seuss’ birthday is in March and it’s also National Reading Month. With these themes in mind, we created the Seussville Family Fun Night. It has become a highly attended, yearly collaboration with the Future Teachers Association student organization and the Educational Leadership students, faculty and staff.”
The evening will include pictures, games, music and an assortment of classic books from Dr. Seuss and other childhood classics along with a visit from The Cat in the Hat with one of his Sneech sidekicks. Children will be able to receive a free Dr. Seuss book while supplies last.
The event has several crafts and activities for children of all ages,” said Stewart. “We typically have at least eight different stations happening at once.”
The Jim Dan Hill Library is located at 907 N. 19th St. in Superior. Event link: https://www.uwsuper.edu/calendar/seussville-family-fun-night_calendar329159711
