The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Campus Recreation will host a triathlon for kids ages 6 to 14 on Saturday, August 10, beginning at 8 a.m. in the Marcovich Wellness Center.
Participants in three age groups will take part in biking around the UW-Superior campus, running in the Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse, and swimming in the Joan Hendrick Swimming Pool. Distances for each event vary by age group. All participants must have a bike, bike helmet, running shoes, and swimwear.
“UW-Superior’s Campus Recreation is all about giving kids the opportunity to accomplish something fun and rewarding,” said Jarod Meyer, UW-Superior’s intramurals and camps specialist.
Finishers will be recognized with a medal and hot dog, and all participants will receive a water bottle and race goody bag. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Entry fee is $15 per person. Registration is due by Friday, August 2, at 3 p.m. Registration forms are available online at
uwsuper.edu/recreation/communityrec. All contestants must complete a liability waiver before participating. Check-in and race bag pickup begins at 7:30 a.m. the day of the race in the Marcovich Wellness Center.
