The Superior Jaycees are hosting its 3rd annual Golf Scramble and Silent Auction. The event will be held on Saturday, August 18th. A portion of the proceeds received from this event will be used to support the Superior Area Hockey Association (SAHA) Harrington Memorial Fund.
The SAHA Harrington Memorial Fund was established in memory of Rusty Harrington, a long time supporter of hockey in the Superior area to help defray the costs of youth hockey for the area children. The Harrington Memorial Fund provides money or credit for registration and/or equipment for any active player in the SAHA program, provided that the applicant can demonstrate the need for funding. This fund is valuable for the younger boys and girls who are starting out and do not have the resources to purchase the required equipment.
We hope that you will be able to participate in this event – it should prove to be very exciting! The golf scramble will feature numerous pin contests, including a chance to win a car as a hole-in-one prize. The cost of the event is $100 to be a hole sponsor only or $175 for a team and hole sponsor. The cost for individual golfers is $20 a person, plus greens fees. The silent auction will feature some great items from local businesses. We will be receiving some very nice autographed memorabilia from professional sports teams, such as the Dallas Stars and the Green Bay Packers, which will be available at the silent auction.
Today, we are looking for support in the way of hole sponsorships, raffle items, silent auctions items, and teams. We sincerely hope you can help. If you are interested in donating an item, your business will be recognized as a donor in the program and announced at the dinner following the golf tournament.
