    SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Office of Multicultural Affairs and the First Nations Center at the University of Wisconsin-Superior will honor 2014 - 2015 graduating multicultural students during the 18th annual Multicultural Affairs / First Nations Graduation Reception. The program will honor graduating students on Friday, May 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this event which is free and open to the public in the Multicultural Center, Old Main 232. At that event the Office of Multicultural Affairs will recognize the academic accomplishments of each of our African American, American Indian, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American and other students who have been consistently involved in programs and events. The program will include cultural performances and presentations, as well as the presentation of our Community Diversity Awards to two honorees for their work in the areas of diversity and equity on our campus and throughout our community. Dr. Mary Lee-Nichols and Terra Brister (student) are this year's recipients of the Community Diversity Award. The graduating students, their families and friends, and University campus members will be on hand for food and fun just before the official Graduation Program at 6 pm. The reception is free and open to the public - everyone is welcome and starts at 5 p.m.
