One of the biggest holiday traditions is back. The fifty ninth annual Christmas City of the North Parade set to take place Friday, November 17th at 6:25pm. The parade route will once again be entirely on Superior Street running through Downtown Duluth.
KBJR is happy to announce that this year's Grand Marshal is none other than The University of Minnesota Duluth's mascot Champ the Bulldog. Champ will be accompanied by the UMD Marching Band & UMD Cheerleaders. Followed by seventy-one parade units as well.
The live television broadcast will begin at 6:20pm. Hosting this year's parade are KBJR 6, Your Weather Authority Anchors Jennifer Austin and Dan Wolfe. The broadcast will also feature Chief Meteorologist Adam Clark with live interviews from parade participants including Santa Claus.
For those who can't attend or watch the parade on television, the parade will also be streamed live on KBJR6.com. For anyone who'd like to re-watch the parade, a copy of the broadcast will be posted to KBJR6.com during the following week.
