Last week, Saturday August 9th, was a great market with over ten vendors with produce from wild blueberries to mushrooms. The weather was great and we had lots of folks walking up and down the row of vendors.
Next week, on Saturday August 16th, we will be changing the configuration of the vendors so instead of on long row we will have two rows with an aisle. There is always plenty of parking with an easy walk to any of our vendor booths.
Remember, the Saturday of August the 23rd, we will be moving to the Library to accommodate the Dragon Boat Festival on Barker's Island.
This week there will be raspberries, wild blueberries, peppers (sweet and hot), cucumbers and pickles, cabbage, lettuce, potatoes, string beans, peas (shell and snap), carrots, beets, onions, broccoli, and the first of the tomatoes.
Corn will be another couple of weeks. The cool nights have held all the crops back, especially corn, tomatoes and melons.
