    Beekeeping 102: Let’s Talk Bees is the second of a series of five, three-hour workshops on how to raise and care for honey bees. Taught by UWS Apiary Manager Dr. Edward Burkett, the Beekeeping 102 Workshop is designed to teach first year beekeepers how to care for their NEW honey bees. Topics to be covered include honey bee biology, installing a package of bees, installing a nucleus hive, standard hive inspections, and basic spring hive management. The Beekeeping 102 Workshop targets first year beekeepers that have previously completed the introductory Beekeeping 101 Workshop, but second year beekeepers will also benefit. This workshop is a MUST for the beginning beekeeper. The Beekeeping 102 Workshop has seating for 60 adult participants and is FREE and open to the general public. Registration is required and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
