Caity Daudt was a recent graduate of UW-Superior. In July, she and her mom, Sandy Strausser, were in a two vehicle collision near Brainerd, MN that took her life and necessitated a short hospital stay for her mom. This benefit is being hosted by Caity's friends at UW-Superior to help her family with any costs necessary during this time of grief. The benefit will include a spaghetti dinner, silent auction, homemade goods for sale, and much more!
A little about Caity:
Caity recently graduated from UW-Superior this past May with a BS degree in Biology and Broad Field Science. Caity was a wonderful person who inspired others and strived to make a positive impact on her community. While she was at UWS, she served as a senator of the Science, Math, and HHP departments in the Student Government. She was also involved in many clubs such as Cru, World Students Association, Yellowjacket Activity Crew, Students of Science, and Intramural Sports. Her dream was to eventually go to graduate school at North Dakota State University to pursue her passion of ethology, or animal behavior. One day she hoped to work with large cats such as tigers and lions. In the meantime, she was planning her wedding, which was to take place next May in Brainerd, MN and working as a smoke chaser with the Department of Natural Resources. Caity strove to befriend as many people at UW-Superior as possible and touched many lives with her compassion, wit, determination, and uncanny knack of telling you exactly what you needed to hear.
