Join Tracy Nelson Maurer to celebrate the release of her new historical fiction book for children, "STORM CODES," which tells the story of seven-year-old Katy and her mother as they wait through a staggering November ice storm for her father's ship to return to harbor in Duluth, Minnesota. The story is inspired by Tracy's grandfather, who was a captain on the Great Lakes. Tracy began working on this book years ago as a member of a Lake Superior Writers Children's Writers' Group that met at Beecroft! Tracy will be signing books and answering questions during what's sure to be a fun open house event! Refreshments will be served.
