The Cowboy Fast Draw started as a sport in 2003 in South Dakota. The Black River Bandits, the Duluth-Superior area’s oldest and largest club, was organized in 2006. We choose an alias, dress period to the late 1800’s, shoot wax bullets from single action 45 caliber revolvers at metal targets, and celebrate the romance of the “Old West.” Our Motto is: “ Safety First, Fun Second, and Competition Third.”
