All the gears, shafts, building frame and shingles were hand-hewn by Jacob Davidson. The rumble of the grinding stones is permanently silent, but the windmill still stands to remind us of the lives lived closer to the earth and to one another. Tour the Davidson Windmill Friday, 3:00 to 6:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; and Sunday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Freewill donation for the tours.
