DCHS History Theatre: Waiting for MacArthur

Douglas County Historical Society's History Theatre will present "Waiting for MacArthur", an original play by P. Paullette MacDougal.

Six months after the bombing of Pear Harbor, Gen. Douglas MacArthur's base of operations on Corregidor Island in the Pacific was under daily attack and the fort's hospital and operations room were moved into an underground tunnel. When MacArthur had to leave the island he promised to return but it was years before he could. The play describes the experience of that wait through letters of a young U.S. army nurse.

Performance Dates: March 2, 3 at 7:30 p.m. and March 4 at 2:00 p.m. doors open one hour in advance
