ABOUT THE BEERS AT EARTH RIDER FEST

Earth Rider Festbier | The life of the party! Earth Rider’s Munich-style Festbier is a golden lager with bready malt character and subdued floral-hop aroma.

Superior Pale Ale | Brewed for Northlanders who live near the greatest lake. American hops lend citrus notes to this crisp, clean, and easy drinking pale.

Caribou Lake IPA | Hop aromas of pine and berry harken to lakes of the far North. A prominent malt backbone balances moderate hop bitterness.

Precious Material Helles | Old Bavaria meets Great Lakes adventure. German hops and Lake Superior water create an invigorating beer—bright and refreshing.

North Tower Stout | Bronze medal winner at the World Beer Cup in the Oatmeal Stout category (2018). Malty accents of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit are balanced with a restrained hop presence in this stouthearted ale.

Raspbecrush | As inviting as a Lake Superior raspberry patch! Raspbecrush is a kettle-soured wheat ale with pail-loads of raspberries. Light, refreshing, and deliciously tart.

Cedar Sour Red | Allouez Amber was the base for this mixed-fermentation sour. Cedar Sour Red was allowed months of secondary fermentation in a French Oak barrel with the addition of bacteria and brettanomyces yeasts. Cedar blocks added for an earthiness and warm woody tone to the lightly tart dark-fruit flavors.

    …and many, many, many more!

*NOTE! This schedule of events and beer list are subject to change, but it probably won’t.

    SEATING

This event will take place out-of-doors in our green space. We have a limited number of picnic tables for reserve and table seating on a first come first served basis. You’re welcome to bring your favorite camp chair and a blanket. General Admission tickets are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

    CRY ON CUE

Legendary produce/musician/songwriter Bernie Larsen and his soul and roots reggae band. Larsen has lived a charmed musical life for many years. He has recorded, toured, and produced an elite handful of artists most of which are Grammy Award recipients including Melissa Etheridge, Jackson Browne, Rickie Lee Jones, Lucinda Williams, and Public Enemy. He also spent six years as an original member of David Lindley’s legendary band El Rayo-X.

    CHARLIE PARR

International touring artist and Smithsonian Recording artists Charlie Parr is an American country blues musician. Born in Austin, Minnesota, he spent part of his childhood in Hollandale before starting his music career in Duluth. His influences include Charlie Patton, Bukka White, Reverend Gary Davis, Dave Van Ronk, and Mississippi John Hurt.

    TURN TURN TURN

Turn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country, folk, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward. Members Adam Levy (guitar, vocals), Savannah Smith (guitar, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious, pop-infused Americana.

    WONKY TONK

Joined by three talented dudes, Wonky Tonk is backed by the Highlife in an effervescent dirge /psychedelic jam outfit sure to get you dancing and wonder why you assumed you were going to hear ‘country music.’ “This Kentucky Troubadour is guaranteed to steal your heart. Wonky Tonk finds herself in the “Indie-Country” category; with the Highlife, she’s the kinda country star that hipsters wouldn’t be embarrassed to say they like, while still keeping deep-rooted country fans happy (ELMORE MAGAZINE).” Think 1971 Grateful Dead meets Jenny Lewis.

    LYLA ABUKOHDAIR

Punk, gritty folk stylings of Twin Ports popular musician.

    THE POLKAROBICS

Formed in 2017, the Polkarobics rose to the demand for polka and Oktoberfest music in the Duluth area. Suzi Ludwig and Jimi Cooper of Dance Attic fame are joined by Veikko Lepisto on bass and Brad Nelson on drums. They play a wide variety of polkas and waltzes. Their set list includes polka favorites like Tavern in the Town, Beer Barrel Polka and the Clarinet Polka but also includes polka versions of songs by the Ramones and the Cars. Expect some old time country to be thrown into the mix along with some original music.
