Fallen Soldiers Memorial

The public is invited to attend a program to honor ten of Northwest Wisconsin's fallen soldiers from the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars at the Richard I Bong Veterans Historical Center and Museum in Superior on Saturday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m.

Those being honored are: Marine LCpl (Lance Corporal) Adam VanAlstine, Army CPL (Corporal) Kenneth Cross, Army SFC (Sgt First Class) Matthew Pionk, Army SSG (Staff Sgt) Jeremy Vrooman, all of Superior, Army 2LT (Second Lieutenant) Tracy Alger of Chetek, Army SFC (Sgt First Class) Dan Gabrielson of Spooner, Marine LCpl (Lance Corporal) Harry Timberman of Minong, Marine SGT Chad Allen of Dairyland, Army SSG (Staff Sgt) Patrick Lybert and Army SSG Nathan Vacho, both of Ladysmith.

The Honor Guard will present Colors and play TAPS. Superior Representative Nick Milroy and Museum Director Bob Fuhrman will be the guest speakers. The Minnesota Memorial Riders, a group of American citizens and veterans honor our military, both currently serving and those fallen, will speak about each of these soldiers, and will present plaques to the families.

Refreshments will be served after the program. Please join us in honoring and celebrating the lives of our fallen heroes."

This event is free and open to the public.
