    In 1879, Lavinia Goodell made history by becoming the first female lawyer admitted to the bar in Wisconsin. Lavinia, written by playwright Betty Diamond, celebrates her accomplishments and her impact on the legal profession and gender equality movement. A reading of Lavinia will be held at the Douglas County Historical Society Theatre at 1101 John Avenue in Superior on Sunday, May 17, 2 p.m. Tickets: $5.
