Two Superior non-profits combine forces to bring the First Harvest Community Arts & Music Festival to Superior Saturday, August 4, 2012 from Noon to 8 pm.
The Superior Council for the Arts (SCGFTA) and the North Country Windows Program (NCWP) celebrate the peak of summer vegetable & flower gardens with an all day music & arts festival featuring musicians and songwriters Sara Thomson, Toby Churchhill, James Wiita, Sequin & Hauswirth, Kristy Marie, the Mark Anderson Trio and Tico 3. Each performance lasts just under an hour, culminating in the two hour (6-8 pm) performance by Festival headliner, Sara Thomson.
From 1 pm-6 pm short sketches, performances and demonstrations including the Superior Community Theater, karate demonstrations, Belly Dancing with Deb Poldoski, Youth Yoga with Catherine Anderson , and Safety Programs take place on center stage.
Master Gardeners will share great gardening tips and demonstrations all day; shop local artists for crafts, photography, bread, painting, outdoor furniture, jewelry and a tchotchke or two! Food & beverages will be available all day.
There is a gate fee of $5. Kids under 12 accompanied by adult are free.
