    North Country Independent Living (NCIL) and the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition (WDVC) are joining together to host a forum on disability issues that will feature candidates vying for the Assembly Seat in the 73th district.

     

    The Forum will be held on Monday, August 18 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Avenue in Superior.

     

    In the 73th district, which includes Douglas, Burnett and parts of Washburn County, four Democrats and one Independent are campaigning to replace Rep. Boyle. The Democrats are Mary Tripp; Vern Johnson; Bruce Meyers; and Nick Milroy. Jeffery Monaghan is the Independent.

     

    ''There is no group of constituents more affected by legislation and government than people with disabilities,'' notes John Nousaine, Executive Director of NCIL.
