Tracy's Story

On June 8, 2010, Tracy Pahos found out that she has a rare form of osteosarcoma. She underwent surgery to remove a portion of her tibia and some muscles and tendons. They did bone replacement, along with skin transfer. After two weeks in the hospital, she was able to return home to her husband and three sons. She will be making frequent trips down to Mayo for further treatment over the next three years.

It will be approximately a year before Tracy is able to walk on her own. As a stay at home mother of three boys, she has been relying on family and friends for daily help with her children and house. Her friends are holding this benefit in hopes of raising money for a nanny or someone who can come in and help on a daily basis.
