The Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce & UW-Superior are proud to present the 2nd Annual Haugfest: BBQ & Bands, September 13th, 14th & 15th. This 3-day event will be held at the UW-Superior campus outside Wessman Arena. A huge tent on the track and field area will house live music and entertainment. Kids, youth and college age sports and activities will be available throughout the festival.
NEW! Thursday night there will be a showing of an outdoor movie-Remember the Titans! This will take place outside Wessman arena on a 100 foot tall screen. Free of charge, thanks to our sponsor Murphy Oil!
Friday activities include a Tailgate party featuring food, beverages and a beer garden from 4:30pm to 6:00, followed immediately by a march to the Superior High School Football game vs. Menominee at 7:00pm. The Haugfest tent will be closed during the football game from 7:00 to 9:00pm, and will reopen at 9:00pm with live music from the Whitesidewalls, food and beverages vendors. There will be no admission fee for any events on Friday.
Saturday activities include a Community BBQ Contest (NEW!) and awards ceremony, food and beer, a $5,000 raffle, kids games, face painting, arts and crafts vendors, the UWS ropes course, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, bean bag game competition, 3 on 3 basketball tournament with Free Throw and 3-Point Contests, the Superior High School golf tournament at Nemadji Golf Course, Guitar Hero and Dance, Dance Revolution marathon, and live music.
Tickets are required for entry to the live music acts on Saturday and are $10 per person. Live music starts at 6:00pm with opening bands The Very People and Centerville All Stars performing. The Little River Band will play from 9:00-11:00pm. Tickets are available at:
