All through November, branches of SCCU will be offering holiday cards for the Holiday Mail for Heroes program through the American Red Cross. During normal business lobby hours, each branch will have blank holiday cards that may be filled out for a local veteran or military service member. At the end of November, completed cards will be given to the American Red Cross serving Northern Minnesota for distribution to local veterans and service members. The American Red Cross serving Northern Minnesota covers 16 counties in northern Minnesota as well as Douglas County in northern Wisconsin. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
