Name: Imagine The Possibilities! Regional Gathering for St. Croix Watershed
    Date: May 11, 2019
    Time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:

Join other community leaders and organizations to share your current plans and get an update on the North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area. “Imagine the Possibilities,” a regional gathering to promote and celebrate the St. Croix Watershed, will be held on May 11th from 12:00-4:00  p.m. at the Gordon Town Hall in Gordon, WI. In addition to an incredible opportunity to network and share information, this meeting features a presentation on the “Legend and the Lore of Antoine Gordon,” by Doug MacDonald, refreshments and a dessert break from Headwaters Roasting, and Ojibwe flute music by Dennis and Cleo White.

A few years ago, 1600 people in the St. Croix watershed came together in a series of 20 community workshops to imagine the possibilities for a National Heritage Area in the St. Croix watershed. To further these efforts, a non-profit, North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area (NWW) was formed to carry out these ideas (regardless of possible designation). At the gathering in Gordon,  you’ll be able to:

    • Share what you are doing to promote our natural, artistic, cultural, historical and recreational resources.  Please bring brochures, posters, or other information to share!

    • Connect with others in your region and find out what they have planned for this year and how you can support each other.

    • Give input on the direction North Woods and Waters should take to best serve the region.

    • Receive an update on North Woods and Waters and find out how you and your organization can benefit from NWW’s programs and services.

    • Enjoy Ojibwe flute music, a presentation about Antoine Gordon, and refreshments from Headwaters roasting.

These events are free and open to the public,  but registration is requested at https://bit.ly/2TAqKXL  or by finding the event on the NWW Facebook page:  facebook.com/stcroixheritage. Light refreshments will be served.
