Insight School of Wisconsin, will be hosting a public information session in Superior on January 29, 2009 at the Best Western Meeting Room located at 415 Hammond Dr., Superior, WI 54880 at 5:30pm.
Staff, teachers, current students and their parents will be on hand to talk about curriculum options, demonstrate how online instruction works and answer questions.
Wisconsin students and their families that are interested in attending an online school for the 2009-10 academic year must submit an open enrollment form during the open enrollment period between February 2 and February 20, 2009. Forms will be available at all information sessions and online at www.insightwi.net, starting Feb. 2, 2009.
Insight offers families a tuition-free alternative to ''traditional'' high school. At our full-time, diploma-granting online public high school—students are able to complete their studies in their own setting, using a school-supplied laptop with wireless capability, a printer, and an Internet stipend.
Insight School of Wisconsin might be the right choice for students who have been homeschooled or are advanced learners; who cannot attend school due to physical condition or illness; who have struggled socially in a traditional school; or for those who need flexibility to pursue careers in athletics or the arts.
Insight School of Wisconsin is an accredited, high school that offers over 110 courses, with classes to address students with different backgrounds and aspirations.
Through Insight's affiliate school, the University of Phoenix, students can enroll in ''dual credit'' courses. Juniors or seniors will be able to earn up to 12 college credits online while simultaneously earning high school credit by participating in the Pathways Program at Axia College of University of Phoenix.
