JAWS Fishing Derby

Annual fishing tournament with 40 awards offered for lake trout, salmon and walleye. St. Louis Bay and Lake Superior waters.

Starts Friday, June 3, and and runs until noon Sunday, June 5. The fishing area is west of a line running from the Port Wing, Wisconsin, entry to the Two Harbors, Minnesota, entry. This includes the Duluth/Superior harbor and the St. Louis River and bays.

''The Big Fish of the Day''- The biggest fish caught and weighed-in Friday and the biggest fish caught and weighed-in Saturday will receive a $50.00 gift certificate. Only WLSTA members are  eligible to win this prize.

There will be periodic daily drawings, special nightly prize drawings and door prizes.

The awards ceremony will be Sunday at 2:00 PM.

JAWS DERBY TRADITIONAL DIVISION

Tickets: Adults $20.00 and kids (under 16) $10.00 Each person on the boat must have a Derby ticket before fishing the Derby. Tickets will be available in area stores until Thursday June 2nd. Tickets will be on sale at JAWS DERBY headquarters until 10:00 AM on Saturday June 4th.

2nd Place - Trophy & $250.00 cash 
3rd Place - Trophy & $150.00 cash

NOTE:  All Rainbow Trout (steelhead) are excluded from the JAWS Derby.

KIDS AWARDS
All kids (under 16 years) fishing the Derby will receive a medal for participating and a small prize.
