    Event Description:
    The Keith Gilbertson Memorial Hockey Tournament invites Superior Amateur Hockey Association family and friends to join us in CELEBRATING THE SUCCESS of two former SUPERIOR SPARTAN hockey players: Mike Sislo and Brett Olson! The event will take place at SAHA on Thursday, May 22nd from 4 – 7 p.m.

    Mike Silso is Superior’s first Spartan to play in the National Hockey League (NHL). His history following high school includes playing in the USHL for the Green Bay Gamblers, the ECHL for New Hampshire and the AHL for the Albany Devil’s. Mike made his NHL debut in January playing for the New Jersey Devils.

    Brett Olson plays for the American Hockey League (AHL). This former Spartan has played in the USHL for the Sioux City Musketeers and Waterloo Black Hawks, the WCHA for Michigan Tech and AHL for the Abbotsford Heat (affliate of NHL Calagary Flames).

    A schedule of events for the evening is as follows:

    4:00 – 4:45 p.m. – AUTOGRAPH SIGNING & OPEN SKATE (HELMETS REQUIRED/NO STICKS)
    4:45 – 5:00 p.m. – MAYORAL WELCOME, PROCLOMATION & RECOGNITION
    5:00 – 6:00 p.m. – SKATE WITH THE PRO’s: USA REGISTERED HOCKEY PLAYERS ONLY (HELMETS & STICKS ARE REQUIRED)
    6:15 – 7:00 p.m. – AUTOGRAPH SIGNING

    In addition to all of the excitement there will be door prizes, pizza, pop, music and cake!

    This event is free to the public thanks to generous contributions from the Keith Gilbertson Memorial Hockey Tournament.
