Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival

Celebrate the ancient Oriental sport of Dragon Boat racing on the waterfront at Barker's Island in Superior. The second largest Dragon Boat Festival in the United States with up to 100 dragon boat teams participating in this international event of competitive and recreational races.

Food and beverage vendors. Arts and Crafts Fair. Entertainment.

Opening Ceremony Itinerary:
5:00PM - Managers' meeting
5:30PM - Parade Lineup
5:45PM - Rose Petal Ceremony - Sponsored by participating teams to honor all breast cancer survivors, and those who lost their battle with breast cancer.
6:00PM - Team parade starts
6:30PM - all teams in ceremony grounds, opening ceremony begins
- welcome
- national anthem & waking of the dragon ceremony
- gather a representative from each team, pass the paddle, dragon boat oath Music on the Main Stage
8:50PM - Fireworks
