Join Us for a Free LiveWell Pickleball Tournament! Hosted at the UW-Superior Marcovich Wellness Center Field House, this exciting fun, non-competitive doubles tournament is open to players of all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, we’ve got a division for you. Sign up by yourself to be placed with a partner or with your teammate! Children aged 12-17 are welcome to join, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the tournament. Please remember to bring your own paddles, as a limited number will be available for use. Everyone has to register - teammates must register separately. Format: Doubles Tournament – Sign up solo, or with a teammate!
Schedule: Doors Open & Sign Waivers: 9:00AM-9:30AM
Registration Closes: 9:30AM
Bracket Seeding Completion: 9:30-10:00AM
Pre-tournament Meeting: 10:00-10:30AM
Round Robin: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Break: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM (30-minute break)
Single Elimination Tournament: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM (Until tournament is complete)
Divisions: Beginners / Recreational: Perfect for players who are new to pickleball, still learning the rules and basic skills, or simply looking to have fun and enjoy playing. No prior tournament experience or official skill rating is needed!
Intermediate / Advanced: For players who are comfortable with the rules, can consistently serve and return the ball, and have experience playing rallies and doubles. Players in this division will be grouped based on round-robin results to help create balanced, fun matchups.
Not sure which division is right for you? No worries! Choose the division that best matches your experience and comfort level. This is a fun, recreational tournament, so the goal is to get out, meet other players, and enjoy the game!
Food & Drinks: A limited amount of complimentary water, granola bars, and bananas will be available for your convenience. Additional snacks, water, and other beverages will be available for purchase at the Marcovich Wellness Center. Bringing cash is encouraged, as concessions will be available for purchase during the event. You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch or plan to leave during the 30-minute break to get food.
Parking: FREE parking on weekends is available in campus parking lots with the exception of meter parking. The closest parking lots include: Lot 13 & 4-UW-Superior Marcovich Wellness Center Field House and Lot 7- UW-Superior Library. Parking further away include Lot 11-Yellowjacket Union. Mortorelli Drive road is also available as needed. We are not permitted to park in Lot 3- Residence Hall or Northwoods Technical College parking lots.
