    This presentation is an introduction to online marketing, digital advertising, and a glimpse of how online targeting works behind the scenes.  Ever wonder why you see Amazon ads everywhere after you visit their website?  Ever wonder why you see ads for one type of product when you browse the web and your friends and family members see ads with other types of products?  We’ll tell you why and how it’s done!  Participants will learn about digital products and how each one can contribute to a business’s goals.  Take the intimidation out of online marketing by learning what makes digital an effective medium for getting in front of customers.  Every participant will be placed in a drawing for $350 in free online advertising.  The drawing will be held at the end of the presentation.

    Kathryn Schottmuller is an Advertising Account Executive at the Superior Telegram.  Kathryn is a graduate of UW Stout where she received a BSA in business administration and management with a concentration in art and design.  Kathryn has spent the last 15 years in sales.  Her unique background in business and arts gives her the ability to meet challenges with creative ideas that are linked into a firm business mind to generate results that exceed expectations.  Kathryn is an avid equestrian and loves to “horse around” in her free time.  She also enjoys hiking, drawing, and reading.

    Digital Marketing Executive

    Richard is a key member of the digital marketing team and works for the Duluth-Superior Market of Forum Communications Company. He has several years of marketing experience and a background in technology.
