    The Lake Superior Marine Museum Association (LSMMA), in conjunction with the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, presents its fall Evening Entertainment Series program ''Skyline Parkway: Duluth's First Tourist Attraction''. The program will be held on Wednesday, September 22 from 7 pm. to 9 p.m. at the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, 600 South Lake Avenue in Duluth's historic Canal Park.

    Guest speaker, Doug Stevens of the Skyline Planning and Preservation Alliance, will explore the history of one of the nation's most beautiful cities and scenery. Learn why it took over 50 years to complete and how Skyline Parkway preservation action is being implemented to maintain the dazzling vantage point so generations can enjoy and experience it for years to come.

    LSMMA's Evening Entertainment Series programs are always free and open to the general public. The September 22 event will include a presentation, light refreshments and a self-guided tour of the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center.

    The LSMMA is a non- profit organization, established in 1973 to help support the Marine Museum at the Army Corps of Engineers' Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center and to preserve the region's maritime history. The Association sponsors maritime-related educational and promotional programs and assists in the maintenance and purchases of museum displays.
