Maurices' Relay for Life team, the Retail Rescuers, has organized an event for the public at Dubh Linn Irish Pub to raise money for the Douglas County Relay for Life which helps local cancer patients. The event, MadCure, will be held on June 12, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. MadCure tickets can be purchased for $20 each to participate in an evening of entertainment, drink specials, hors d'oeuvres, raffles, and a silent auction with all net proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The maurices team is participating in the Douglas County Relay For Life event taking place on July 13, 2012 at Wessman Arena on the University of Wisconsin Superior campus. With a goal of $15,000 to be raised for the Relay, Mad Cure will be the main source of revenue for the team from ticket sales, silent auction, and raffle items.
