The maurices Relay for Life team presents MADCURE a benefit and fundraising event which will be held on Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 at Dubh Linn Irish Pub 109 W Superior Street, Duluth, MN.
Jane Moe, one of the event coordinators proposed the idea to heighten the teams fundraising efforts. ''Our team has been together for 6 years''. In that time they have become one of Douglas County Relay's largest contributing teams. ''We wanted to challenge ourselves to beat last years' record year and this event was the outcome of that goal.'' ''It is our intent to mix an evening of fun and entertainment while making money for a cause that is important to us.'' Relay for Life helps local cancer patients through education, advocacy, research and support.
The event is open to the public and will feature a Silent Auction, raffles, hor d'oeuvres, entertainment, drink specials and more. Guests may choose to dress in their favorite early 60's attire.
Tickets are $20 per person and as a bonus they may be redeemed for 2 free tickets to Dubh Linn's Saturday comedy show (reservations required).
