Participants attending this conference will learn how the connections between mind and body affect a person's experience of pain and they will learn evidence-based strategies and therapies they can use to reduce pain with less medication.
Chronic pain is the number one cause of disability among adults in the US. Nearly a third of Americans will experience chronic pain in their lifetime. Those experiencing chronic pain may have arthritis, fibromyalgia, injuries, migraines, multiple sclerosis, low back pain, neuropathy, or other diagnoses or conditions.
Medications alone are rarely the whole answer to reducing chronic pain. Research shows that patients generally find greater relief with an integrative holistic approach. Preregistration required.
