A fundraising "historical" music event will take place on Saturday, December 12 at the Kro-Bar on Highway 2 in Brule from 2 to 6 p.m.

This is a benefit for the Monticello School Museum & Archives (MSMA) to raise money for the restoration of the one-room school, once located in the Town of Lakeside, and now located at the corner of Highway 2 and County Road F in Maple.

the 1890 school will remain on that site and plans are to turn the building facing north and south, with a walk-out basement underneath which will provide space for archives, with the upstairs to be used as a museum.

The event will feature a spaghetti dinner and music provided by more than half a dozen local and area musicians who are donating their time and talents for the afternoon. There will also be a Chinese auctino and a main prize given to one of the spaghetti dinner particpants. Tickets for the meal will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
