The Northern Lights Express Project will host an open house in Superior, where a NLX passenger station is proposed, on Dec. 4.The public is invited to attend for project updates and to give input about the potential site locations. Project staff will be available to answer questions. These meetings are an open house format and no formal presentation will be given.

The Northern Lights Express is a proposed high speed intercity passenger rail project that will provide rail service between Minneapolis and Duluth. The project would operate on approximately 152 miles of existing BNSF rail corridor.
The project is being coordinated by the Minnesota Department of Transportation in consultation with the Federal Railroad Administration, the Minneapolis-Duluth/Superior Passenger Rail Alliance and with cooperation from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
