    Monday, November 7th - Ojibwe 101 (6:00PM - 7:30PM) 4K Classroom

    This session is designed to be an introduction to Ojibwe culture that promotes awareness and understanding of the Ojibwe people of this area as well as dispels some of the common misconceptions and stereotypes about Native peoples. This session includes: The Ojibwe migration story, information on the 4 sacred medicines, significance and history of traditional lacrosse, information about dreamcatchers, traditional uses for birch bark, the significance of eagle feathers and much more.

    Join us every Monday throughout the month of November as we Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with classes taught by Cassie and Brittany Brown from Keewenaw Bay band of Ojibwe. Every Monday we will be meeting at 6:00pm - 7:30/8:00pm to discuss and practice various aspects of Native American culture. This is a FREE event open to the public. These events are appropriate for schoolage and up.
