The Superior BID and SPACES invite you to gather for this first presentation of Phantom Galleries Superior to the community at 1401 Tower Avenue (the New York Building) in Superior on Thursday, July 21, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Meet the artists and tour all three locations. Art is available for purchase.

This evening's event is partnering with the Douglas County Historical Society, which is presenting the opening of 'OPEN TIL 9: THURSDAY Nights on Tower at the historic VASA Temple, 1101 John Street, Superior, also 5-9pm.

COME EXPERIENCE BOTH THE HISTORY OF TOWER AVENUE AND ITS PRESENT 21ST CENTURY CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION.

What is Phantom Galleries Superior? Phantom Galleries Superior places 24/7 temporary art installations into vacant storefronts. It invites us to be curious and revision sense of place. It presents not only an economic initiative, and community involvemet, but a way that art interacts with and gains meaning from its exhibition environment. It is an opportunity to catalyze a little soul.

The project is a partnership between SPACES and BID and is supported in part by funds from the MorganFund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation and a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
